He admitted to having repeated three times in primary school before moving on to junior high school in an exclusive interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso, a professional who goes by the name Delay, shown on TV3 on July 17, 2022. Lasmid contends that after repeating a primary school in a village close to Dunkwao, he attended a nearby city school and then repeated there a second time.
