He admitted to having repeated three times in primary school before moving on to junior high school in an exclusive interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso, a professional who goes by the name Delay, shown on TV3 on July 17, 2022. Lasmid contends that after repeating a primary school in a village close to Dunkwao, he attended a nearby city school and then repeated there a second time.

Later, at Wasa Akropong Primary School, he repeated the last time since he had a child's brain. Then, he put in a lot of effort to avoid having to repeat primary 6, and he attended Wasa Akropong for both his primary and junior high school studies.

Lasmid claims that the reason for his repeated grades in primary school was his parents' divorce. Even before he turned seven years old, he realized that his parents were no longer living together as a pair.

He spent many years living with his grandmother and was unaware of the location of his mother, Mrs. Owusu, but was aware of his father's whereabouts in Takoradi. When he was ten years old, he was requested to move and spent time with his mother to strengthen their bond.

Lasmid attended Takoradi Technical Institute for his secondary school (TTI). Lasmid didn't go to college; instead, he sought work as a mechanic after graduating from high school. Later, he joined MTN Hitmaker, where he eventually won the season eight (8) competition in 2019. As a result, he received a recording agreement of GH120,000 and an MTN Pulse-provided black Anibisa headset, in addition to winning.

Ghanaian music producer Kaywa signed him to the record label Highly Spiritual Music after the tournament. He has contracts with Highly Spiritual Music for the genres of Afrobeat, Highlife, and Rapper.
